A label that looks premium on the shelf and holds up in the bathroom.
Shampoo in the shower, lotion on damp hands, serum on the bathroom counter: a label on a cosmetic product has to withstand water, oils, and creams, and still look more expensive than the product actually is on the shelf. Finishing options include techniques such as no-label-look (a clear label with no visible edges, for the look of printing directly on the bottle), embossing on the logo, a cold foil gold accent (metallic foil applied in a cold stamping process), and selective varnish for a gloss/matte contrast. The INCI list stays legible even in a small label area, and a multilingual declaration supports regional export.
The label has to hold up in the bathroom and still look like it belongs on a luxury shelf.
PP film does not absorb water, the water-resistant adhesive holds even on a wet surface in the shower, and lamination protects the print from steam, soap, and mechanical wear. The label keeps the same appearance through extended use in the shower.
You don't need everything at once. Embossing on the logo (Frankini DMR), a cold foil gold accent on a single element (inline on the MPS press), or selective UV varnish for a gloss/matte contrast. One detail you can feel under your fingers, or one that catches the light on the shelf, changes how the customer perceives your product.
A multilayer label with an added layer: your brand design on the outside, and the INCI list, directions, and declaration in an added language on the additional layer. An open-close (peel-and-reveal) label for two languages provides extra space for text without shrinking the font. For markets with similar regulatory requirements.
Questions about water resistance, premium finishing, INCI regulations, and the ordering process for cosmetics labels.
Yes. PP film with a water-resistant adhesive and lamination holds up to constant contact with water, steam, and soap. A shampoo or shower gel label keeps the same appearance through extended use in the shower. We send a sample roll for you to test in your own bathroom before ordering.
Yes. PP film does not absorb oils. The adhesive for oily surfaces holds even when a customer opens the product with oily hands. UV varnish or lamination protects the print. For heavier conditions, such as pure oils and serums, we use PET with a RESIN coating.
Yes. A clear PP film with a clear adhesive. Only the graphics are visible; the label itself is invisible. Precise die-cutting minimizes visible edges. For curved bottles, we use a thinner film that follows the shape without air bubbles.
One detail is enough. Embossing on the logo (Frankini DMR), cold foil on a single element (inline on the MPS press), or selective UV varnish for a gloss/matte contrast. Combine it with textured paper for natural brands. A Star Proof shows the realistic look before printing.
Yes. Process order: printing on PP film with UV varnish on the MPS press, then embossing on the Frankini DMR. The result is a water-resistant label with relief embossing on the logo. Lamination is applied before embossing for full print protection in the bathroom.
Yes. FSC-certified papers are available from our suppliers. For eco brands, we combine FSC paper with a kraft texture and minimal finishing. RP holds an FSC CoC certificate (BV-COC-221179) that guarantees traceability from forest to label.
A multilayer label with an added layer: your brand design with premium finishing on the outside, and the INCI list and directions in an added language on the additional layer. For two languages, an open-close construction provides extra space for text. The MPS EF 340 with the Cross-Over unit adds the additional layer to the label in a single pass.
Yes. A thinner PP film with a stronger adhesive for a small contact area. The die-cut shape is matched to the tube's shape. The label lies flat with no wrinkling, even on small, tightly curved formats.
Standard graphic labels: 5-7 business days. With embossing or cold foil: 7-10 business days. Multilayer: 10-14 business days. Repeat runs: 3-5 business days. Six presses in operation provide the capacity.
Product type (shampoo, cream, serum, perfume), packaging type (bottle, tube, jar, airless pump), label dimensions, whether you need premium finishing (embossing, cold foil, spot varnish), whether you need a multilayer construction for the INCI list, the number of languages, run quantity, and deadline. You'll receive a quote within 24 hours.
Tell us what you make, what packaging it goes into, and what look you want on the shelf. We select a material that holds up to your conditions, a finish that sets your product apart, and recommend a multilayer construction if the INCI list doesn't fit. A sample roll on your own packaging, a Star Proof before printing. A quote within 24 hours.
