Three machines run in parallel. While one is tied up with a customer's million-unit run, a second is running your 200,000 units, and a third is handling an urgent order that came in this morning. There's no "everything's booked, we can't start for two weeks." Your delivery date doesn't depend on the size of someone else's order.
With three machines, job changeovers don't tie up the entire plant. One machine can run a series of smaller print runs while the others handle large ones. That means orders of 50,000 or 100,000 units also get a realistic deadline and a fair price, with no "minimum run" pushing you to order more than you need.
Every machine requires periodic maintenance, part replacement, and cleaning. With only one machine, maintenance means a production stoppage and delays across every order. Cross-Over, cold foil, duplex/triplex, peel-and-reveal
When a standard graphic label isn't enough because the product needs more information than fits on one surface, metallic effects, or a multilayer, duplex or triplex construction with an additional layer of information right on the package.

If you need a duplex/triplex construction or cold foil, it goes on the EF 340 with the Cross-Over unit.

On the MPS EF 330, we select the material based on the application (paper for dry environments, PP synthetic for moisture and cold storage, PET for chemical exposure), print up to 8 colors with UV curing that sets the inks and coating instantly, and add inline laminating for mechanical protection. I have a line of 12 products with different labels. They all have to be ready the same week because the filling line runs through them in sequence. If one label is late, the whole line stops.

The three presses run in parallel. We split 12 jobs across three presses, 4 jobs each. This is especially efficient when the labels share the same material and dimensions, since only the plate and ink change and the changeover is quick. All the rolls are packed and shipped together on a single pallet. One delivery for the entire product line, and your filling line doesn't wait.
The other two keep running without interruption. That's the whole point of redundancy: servicing one press doesn't stop production or put other customers' deadlines at risk. Yes. On the MPS EF 330, we combine the material to match the application (PP synthetic with a deep-freeze adhesive for cold storage, PET for chemical exposure), UV coating to protect the print from wear, and inline laminating for mechanical resistance. The label stays in place and legible at temperatures from -18°C to +50°C, in contact with water, and under daily handling with wet hands.
Yes. The servo automatic register corrects color-to-color alignment in real time, independent of the operator. UV LED curing keeps the coating's finish consistent through the entire run. Settings are saved in the system for every job, and the plates are kept on the shelf. A repeat run uses the exact same parameters, with no re-setup. Your customer won't notice a difference on the shelf.
All standard self-adhesive label materials: matte, semi-gloss, and gloss paper, PP and PET synthetic, clear film, metallized papers, and kraft paper. Material thickness from 25 to 250 microns. Corona treatment on the press improves ink adhesion on synthetic materials. If you're not sure which material fits your application, describe the conditions and we'll recommend one.
