The MPS EF 340 is not just a printing press. It is a complete production line in a single system that prints, coats, applies metallic foil, laminates, die-cuts, and delivers a finished label roll to roll. No external operations, no register loss between stages, no unnecessary waiting.
Most flexo presses print color labels and die-cut them. The MPS EF 340 goes further. Three add-ons on the press open up product segments that are otherwise reserved for specialized printers with significantly more expensive equipment: multi-ply peel-and-reveal labels, open-close labels that open and reclose, and labels with cold foil metallic effects. RP runs two units of this press, which means both redundant capacity and flexibility in production planning.

The Cross-Over unit with Delam/Relam technology splits the web into layers, prints each layer separately, and rejoins them in a single pass. Multi-ply peel-and-reveal labels open additional printed surfaces for declarations in multiple languages and regulatory text, without increasing the label's footprint. Open-close labels can be opened and reclosed by the end customer, so the package stays protected after first use. Both MPS EF 340 units have this add-on, which means double the capacity for these specialty constructions.
Silver or holographic foil is applied with adhesive directly on the press, with no heat and no dedicated tooling. CMYK colors are printed over the foil in the same pass, producing colored metallic effects in any shade: gold-red, silver-blue, pink metallic, or a branded-color hologram. One silver foil, an unlimited range of metallic shades.

Two MPS EF 340 units in operation mean redundancy. If one unit is running a multi-ply order, the other takes on color graphic labels without waiting. The product ships to multiple markets, regulations require a declaration in every language, and the label is small. The instructions do not fit, and enlarging the packaging is not an option.

All standard self-adhesive label materials: matte, semi-gloss, and gloss paper, PP and PET synthetics, clear film, metallized papers, and kraft paper. Material thickness ranges from 25 to 250 microns. In-line corona treatment improves ink adhesion on synthetic materials. We source materials from established European suppliers of self-adhesive materials.
With two MPS EF 340 units in operation, your order doesn't have to wait in line behind others. All operations run in a single pass, which shortens total production time. Both types are produced on the same MPS EF 340 machines. Having two units in operation means both products can run in parallel without waiting: the multilayer construction runs on one machine, the graphic label on the other. Or they run sequentially on the same machine with a quick changeover. Either way, both label types are delivered on the same timeline, in the same shipment.
The MPS EF 340 is designed for medium and large print runs, where flexo printing delivers the best balance of cost and quality. For color graphic labels, the economics become favorable from medium runs upward, since the plate-making cost is spread across the quantity. Yes. Automatic servo registration corrects color alignment in real time, independent of the operator, and UV LED curing keeps coating gloss stable throughout the run. Settings are stored in the Job Memory system and applied to repeat orders without resetting them. Your customer on the shelf isn't supposed to notice a difference between a label from January and one from June, and they won't.
Before the full run, we produce a digital proof to check colors, text, and positioning. You approve it before the machine starts. For duplex and triplex labels, we also make a physical construction sample so you can check the opening, closing, and readability of the content before mass production. We start the full run only after your approval.
