AG31 combines the print quality of WAX ribbons with the durability of the RESIN category. The print is significantly more resistant to scratching and smearing than pure WAX (AG7, AG9). It works on synthetic films (PET, PP, PE) where pure WAX doesn't provide sufficient adhesion. The new back coating extends printhead life, reducing maintenance costs. For applications involving aggressive chemicals, we recommend pure RESIN.

WAX-RESIN combines the low print energy of WAX with the durability of RESIN. AG31 has a durability rating of 5/5 and a print quality rating of 5/5, while pure WAX (AG7) has a scratch resistance rating of only 3/5. AG31 works on synthetic films, where pure WAX does not provide adhesion.
AG31 is optimized for plastic materials, while AG34 covers both paper and plastic equally well. If your primary media are synthetic films, AG31 is the better choice. For mixed paper-plus-synthetic applications, AG34 is more versatile.
